This site is a tribute to my Dad, Tony Woodhouse, who was born on the 10th of September 1946. Raised in Stapleford,he lived in Sawston for the majority of his life. He sadly passed away on Sunday 12th April 2020. Despite his many underlying health conditions, Corona virus was sadly the reason he lost his fight.
Due to the current situation regarding Covid 19 and subsequent restrictions, we are limited to a small number of close family to attend his funeral, however, we are sure that many of his friends and wider family would have wanted to attend. In lieu of this, we have chosen a charity for people to send donations to if they wish, as we are limited to family flowers only. We felt that the Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) would be appropriate due to the outstanding care and support they have provided, particularly over the last 4 years.
Dad had a stroke in August 2016 and since then his health has slowly deteriorated and Dad was admitted to Addenbrooke's and Papworth frequently over the last 4 years.
We have many wards and medical staff at Addenbrooke's to thank for the amazing care he always received especially the liver ward D5 where he spent the last weeks of his life. By choosing this charity, we hope to give something back to the hospital that have done so much for us. All donations are greatly received to help front line staff fight against this awful virus, as well as funding life changing research among other things.
He is much loved and will always be remembered
